After his testimony puts crime boss Lou Janero (Anthony Charnota) into San Quentin prison, Harry finds himself in the media spotlight and on every hired killer's hit list.
Forced to work with the press and his new partner, Al Quan, Harry is tasked with investigating the death of a drug-addled rock star, Johnny Squares. The subsequent murder of horror film director Peter Swan (Liam Neeson), who is in town to film Squares' music video, soon leads him to discover The Dead Pool - a grim game in which each of the members of Swan's crew take bets on the 10 celebrities they predict will die first. As more and more famous people die in mysterious circumstances, events take a sinister turn when Harry discovers his own name has made it onto the list.
